The high school’s
National Honor Society does not only reward academic
excellence but also fosters the ideals of leadership,
citizenship, and community involvement.
Membership in
this organization is by selection, which is done by a
faculty council and students must have a cumulative
grade point average of 3.2 or better.
The National
Honor Society is an auspicious organization tailored
to attract high performing students in order to engage
them in meaningful service and leadership. Our
organization is meant not only to celebrate those
students who have a history of academic success but
also to establish a standard in the school so that
other students may be inspired to excel. “Our goal is
to be visible, to serve the community and to continue
to improve the image of the school,” says former NHS adviser,
Ms. Sharnee S. Brown.
